• What is a domain transfer?

  When you transfer to Doteasy, our experts help you move your domain to Doteasy. You will also keep the remaining time on your current registration, plus at least a full year of domain registration extension with Doteasy (depending on the term length you choose).

• Why should I transfer my domains to Doteasy?

• Will I lose the remaining time I have with my current registrar?

  You keep all the time that's left on your current registration, PLUS at least an extra year of domain registration (depending on your chosen term length) - which starts when your current registration term expires. You will not lose the remaining time on your current registration.

• Will I experience downtime during the transfer?

  No! As long as your domain name has not expired, you will not experience any downtime or disruption during the transfer.

• How do I transfer my domain?

  First, obtain your domain Auth Code (also known as an EPP code or Transfer Key) from your current registrar, and make sure that your domain is unlocked.

  Next, submit your domain transfer request to Doteasy.

  Lastly, a transfer request email will be sent to the domain registrant email address. Be sure to respond to the confirmation email and submit your Auth Code. Tip: Before making your transfer request, verify that the registrant contact email with your current registrar is correct!

  Now sit back! The transfer details will be reviewed, and you will be notified when your transfer is approved.

• How do I transfer multiple domains at once?

  Simply begin the transfer for one domain. As you proceed, you will see the option: "+ Transfer More Domains to Doteasy." Click this option and add more domains that you would like to transfer. You can transfer up to 20 domains at one time. When you have completed adding the domains you would like to transfer, click "Next" to continue.

• How long does it take to transfer my domain?

  The domain transfer process can take 5-14 days to be completed. The length of the domain transfer depends on the time it takes for you to confirm the transfer, and the time it takes for your current registrar to accept the transfer.

  However, rest assured that you will not experience any downtime throughout the entire domain transfer process.

• When will I be charged to maintain my domain name?

  Your domain transfer to Doteasy includes at least a full year of domain registration (depending on your chosen term length), which begins after your current registration expires.

  For example, if you have chosen a 1-year term length and your current domain expiry date is June 28, 2020, upon successful transfer to Doteasy, your next expiry date would be June 28, 2021. If you decide to renew your domain, you will be charged to renew your domain 6 days before the domain expiry date.

• If my domain has expired, can I transfer my domain?

  If your domain is in expired status, we recommend that you renew with your current registrar to get your services up and running as soon as possible. You can then transfer your domain to Doteasy at a later date. Keep in mind that you will keep all of the remaining time on your registration - your new term registration with Doteasy begins after your current registration term expires.

• How can I transfer away from GoDaddy?

  First, obtain your domain Authorization Code (also known as an Auth Code, EPP code or Transfer Key) from GoDaddy, and be sure to unlock your domain. If your domain has Protected Registration, cancel Protected Registration. Ensure that your registrant contact email with GoDaddy is correct.

  Next, initiate the transfer with Doteasy. A confirmation email will be sent to your registrant email address. Be sure to respond to the email to confirm the transfer and provide your Auth Code.

• How can I transfer away from NameCheap?

  Sign into your NameCheap account. Go to "Domain List" and choose "manage" for the domain you would like to transfer to Doteasy. Under the "Sharing and Transfer" tab, unlock your domain and retrieve the Auth Code.

  Next, initiate the transfer with Doteasy. A confirmation email will be sent to your domain registrant email address. (Tip: Before making your transfer request, verify that the registrant contact email with NameCheap is correct!) Respond to the email to confirm your transfer and provide your Auth Code.
